En contrepartie, les environnements c\u00f4tiers <\/span>sont en croissante vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9 face aux changements climatiques et environnementaux globaux. Sous les effets combin\u00e9s d'une pression anthropique et d\u00e9mographique accrue sur le littoral et les bassins versants et des al\u00e9as\u00a0hydro climatiques, le littoral est en pleine mutation. Parmi les indices de la mutation en cours, se rencontre une fr\u00e9quence accrue des \u00e9pisodes d\u2019efflorescences algales toxiques (HABs pour \"Harmful Algal Blooms\"). Ces\u00a0\u00e9v\u00e8nements affectent l\u2019ensemble du territoire et ont des retentissements graves sur les activit\u00e9s conchylicoles. Si la\u00a0dynamique court terme de ces \u00e9pisodes commence \u00e0 \u00eatre mieux cern\u00e9e du fait de la mise en place de r\u00e9seaux de\u00a0surveillance, la d\u00e9finition de tendances long terme \u00e0 m\u00eame de fournir une pr\u00e9dictibilit\u00e9 fait actuellement cruellement d\u00e9faut.\u00a0Afin d\u2019y rem\u00e9dier, notre projet cible l\u2019analyse r\u00e9trospective des HABs au travers de l\u2019\u00e9tude d\u2019archives\u00a0s\u00e9dimentaires littorales dans les estuaires et baies bretonnes. L'objectif principal est de caract\u00e9riser l\u2019\u00e9volution des communaut\u00e9s phytoplanctoniques toxiques (migration, relais d\u2019esp\u00e8ces\u2026) au cours des derniers si\u00e8cles. Les r\u00e9seaux\u00a0de surveillance du plancton mis en place \u00e0 la fin du 20\u00e8me si\u00e8cle manquent de recul temporel pour pouvoir appr\u00e9cier l'\u00e9volution des communaut\u00e9s et la dynamique des efflorescences hors contexte anthropique. Les \u00e9tudes pal\u00e9o\u00e9cologiques\u00a0seront combin\u00e9es \u00e0 d\u2019autres m\u00e9thodologies pluridisciplinaires au travers de collaborations (ADN ancien,\u00a0g\u00e9ochimie, autres bioindicateurs, t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection) permettant de discuter l\u2019\u00e9volution globale de la qualit\u00e9 des masses\u00a0d'eaux et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes c\u00f4tiers et de documenter des facteurs critiques dans le d\u00e9clenchement des HABs pass\u00e9es\u00a0pour mieux comprendre celui des efflorescences actuelles.
