Presentation
As a permanent member of the'Inrap and associate researcher, Delphine Barbier-Pain carry out palynological studies in archaeological (wells, ponds, ditches) and/or natural (marshes, peat bogs, paleochannels) contexts. Through her research work, Delphine carries out paleoenvironmental and paleoclimatic reconstructions during the recent Quaternary period (Tardiglacial-Holocene), studies the evolution of the plant landscape in the North West of France (Brittany, Normandy, Pays de la Loire, Centre) and the interactions between Man and the Environment. His work also covers funerary archaeopalynology : the study of embalmed bodies or archaeobotanical deposits in burials.
