The DGPS (Differential Global Positioning System) is a device combining a conventional GPS system (satellites and mobile receiver) and a static reference receiver with known coordinates used to increase the accuracy of topographic measurements. This device is frequently used to carry out DTMs or beach profiles in the framework of cartographic surveys or topographic monitoring.
